Elwood Phipps, of Ladoga,died Wednesday of typhoid fever, He was a member of Ladoga Lodge No. 105, A. O. U. W., and was buried by that order. His remains were interred at Waveland. A number of the members of Washington Lodge of this city, went to Waveland on the morning train to join the brethren of the Waveland and Ladoga lodges in the burial Thursday. - thanks to Kim H

There were three funeral in Ladoga Wednesday. They were that of Mrs. Taylor Bell; Elwood Phipps, who died of typhoid fever and was interred at Waveland by the Red Men of which order he was a member; Asbury Stringer, a young married man who passed away quite suddenly from luyng trouble - kbz

E. A. Phipps, who was a resident of Ladoga, died Tuesday night of typhoid fever, and was buried Thursday morning at Waveland by the A.O.U.W. of which he was a member. He leaves a wife and one child.
